40. 1980, Arthur Beetson clashing with Parramatta teammate Mick Cronin

They said it wouldn't work. That club teammates wouldn't rip into each other with genuine gusto when wearing the jumpers of their home state. But with a swinging arm to the jaw of Parramatta teammate Mick Cronin, Arthur Beetson promptly blew the critics out of the water and gave birth to the mate against mate concept that has run through Origin's veins ever since.
