49. Game One, 2010: Billy Slater's try saving tackle on Anthony Watmough.
Try telling Billy Slater a dead rubber doesn't matter. With the Maroons having wrapped up the series with wins at ANZ Stadium (28-24) and Suncorp (34-6), the Blues fielded six debutants in Game Three in a bid to restore pride to a NSW outfit beaten for a record fifth consecutive series. And when Anthony Watmough broke into the backfield with 17 minutes to play and the Blues down by a point it looked as though they might snag a consolation win, but the remarkable effort from Slater in roping in one of the hardest-running players in the game before rolling Watmough onto his back with the try line beckoning spurred the Queenslanders on to take the match 23-18 and record their first series whitewash since 1995.
