69. Game Two, 1985: Brett Kenny’s try that sealed the match and the series.
After four long years of defeat, New South Wales finally tasted the sweet taste of a State of Origin series victory thanks to the special hands (and feet) of five-eighth Brett Kenny. With the ball travelling from Mario Fenech to Steve Mortimer, Kenny was giving a standard pass from his halfback before lifting his hand of the ball in what appeared to be an unintentional dummy from the No. 6. Realising that a hole had opened up, Kenny stepped off his right foot past Wally Lewis and squeezed his way between two Maroons defenders to score and secure a series winning 21-14 scoreline.
