95. Game Two, 1983: Six of the seven NSW backs are Parramatta players, and they score all of NSW's points in a 10-6 win.
It was a testament to the success of the Parramatta Eels in the early-1980's when six of their backline started for the New South Wales in Origin II, 1983. With two premiership wins in a row and another to come later that year the likes of Peter Sterling, Mick Cronin and Eric Grothe inspired New South Wales to a 10-6 win and the Eels constituent scored every single point. The first try was a Parramatta special as Sterling passed it out to five-eighth Brett Kenny. The elusive Kenny managed to throw an offload to Cronin who handed it off to winger Neil Hunt to cross for his one and only Origin try. Centre Steve Ella crossed for the difference maker while Cronin kicked a conversion for good measure to ensure that Game 3 was a series decider.
