97. Game One, 1985: Michael O'Connor scores all 18 points in NSW's 18-2 win
After five years of Queensland totally dominating, New South Wales thought it were best to freshen up their chances by blooding a couple of new faces into the Origin arena. Much was made about their inclusions and how they may struggle with the conditions that come with the Origin cauldron but St George centre Michael O'Connor put these fears to rest after scoring every point in the Blues 18-2 win. In what could be said to be one of the more memorable Origin debuts ever, O'Connor blitzed the Maroons with a brace of tries and five goals in a game that would ultimately lead to the Blues first ever series victory.
