Referee Gerard Sutton.

Gerard Sutton and Ben Cummins will referee the historic 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final this Sunday between Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys at ANZ Stadium.

Referees Elite Performance Manager Tony Archer said Sutton and Cummins have been the standout match officials through the season.

“The best officials will referee the Grand Final,” Mr Archer said. “Both Gerard and Ben have been outstanding this season and particularly in the Finals Series.

“They also refereed the three State of Origins this year.”

Sunday’s decider will be lead referee Sutton’s second Grand Final, while Cummins has refereed in two previously.

“They have an enormous amount of experience and work effectively together - this is the right combination for the decider,” Mr Archer said.

The match officials for the Grand Final are:

Referee: Gerard Sutton

Assist Referee: Ben Cummins

Video Referees:  Bernard Sutton and Luke Patten

Touch Judges: Brett Suttor and Steve Carrall

Standby Referee: Matt Cecchin

Standby Touch Judge: Nick Beashel
