Sam Burgess

No longer the greased-up Englishman, this import has proven to be a real British Bulldog by playing a big part in snatching the minor premiership. Can King James win the battle of the British royals?

With his mid-season injuries behind him, big Sam Burgess has once again established himself as the best Burgess brother in the NRL. While victory won’t give Souths the crown it will go a long way to winning the premiership battle.

There is no doubting the Storm’s desire to return to the top of the NRL, but they will need to take down the reigning premiers first before they will get a crack at the title. Will Melbourne secure a place in the record books this season?

A date with Dessie in the grand final is an enticing match-up but if the Sea Eagles focus too much on wanting to beat their old coach they may not make it past the hungry Storm waiting for them in Melbourne.

Cooper's super boot

Daly's deadly kicks

The boot of super Cooper plays a big part of the Melbourne Storm’s winning ways. Can Cronk sink the boot into the Sea Eagles and seal victory with a cherry on top?

There is a lot of pressure to go back-to-back after you win the premiership in your first season and DCE has seemed to struggle at times this season. Daly will need to lace up his shoes pretty tight to out-kick Cooper in Storm territory.

Captain of mayhem

Rabbit of redemption

Keeping track of all of Ennis’s little jibs and jibes during a match is a full-time job. If he is not giving a cheeky face rub he is throwing out a nice friendly sledge, but at the end of the day the Bulldogs keep on winning so hats off to the captain.

This bunny with a bundle of energy is being missed by the North Sydney Bears in reserve grade, but bad luck to the Bears because there appears no stopping the Rabbitohs. Will the Bulldogs be able to bring his story of redemption undone?
