Dragons prop Leeson Ah Mau was charged by the NRL match review committee in Round 20.

Dragons prop Leeson Ah Mau and Knights back-rower Mitchell Barnett could both spend time on the sidelines in the coming weeks, as two of three players cited by the NRL match review committee from the two Sunday fixtures in Round 20 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Ah Mau was charged with a grade three careless high tackle on Wests Tigers opponent Tim Grant which saw the front-rower stretchered from the field. A poor record means that Ah Mau is looking at three weeks on the sidelines with an early guilty plea, or four weeks out if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the NRL judiciary.

Barnett was cited for a grade one shoulder charge, with loading for two prior non-similar offences ensuring he will miss two weeks with an early guilty plea.

Wests Tigers forward Sauaso Sue (grade one dangerous contact – other) was the other player charged, but he will narrowly avoid suspension with an early guilty plea.
