All Stars tour hits Wilcannia
The regional NSW community of Wilcannia welcomed Rugby League’s Learn. Earn. Legend! All Stars Regional Tour as part of their Australia Day celebrations yesterday, as the tour made the third of its five stops across the state.
Locals spent the afternoon enjoying activities including Backyard League and Kids to Kangaroos games, a barbecue, community stalls and the chance to have their photo taken with the NRL Telstra Premiership Trophy.
The Wilcannia community was also asked to contribute to a giant canvas of local Indigenous artwork to be displayed centre-field at the Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars game, at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast, on February 12.
Wilcannia marked the third stop for the Learn. Earn. Legend! All Stars Regional Tour which kicked off in Batemans Bay last weekend before hitting Condobolin. The tour will now head to Walgett on January 28 before making its final stop in Moree on January 30.
