ANZ Stadium will host a Toyota Cup Preliminary Final double-header as part of a blockbuster Telstra Premiership Finals day in Sydney next Saturday, September 22.

The NRL today moved the Toyota Cup clash between Wests Tigers and the winner of the Warriors-Roosters match from Melbourne to Sydney to assist the competing clubs and their fans.

“There was agreement between the competing clubs that it would be best for them and their members if the match was played in Sydney and we are grateful to FOX SPORTS and ANZ Stadium for supporting that move,” NRL General Manager of Football Operations Mr Nathan McGuirk, said today.

“Wests Tigers have already qualified for the match and their opponents will either be the Sydney Roosters or the New Zealand Warriors, who would have to travel regardless of the venue, so it makes sense to play that game in Sydney.”
