The challenge to unseat the Rabbitohs as premiers will commence on Thursday, March 5, the NRL has confirmed.

With a whopping $329,000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs over the course of the season, there is no reason not to play NRL Fantasy this year.

The overall champion will take out the $20,000 major prize, plus a trip for two to the 2015 Telstra Premiership Grand Final, including flights, accommodation and tickets.

But there are many more ways to win.

The simplest? Start up a 16-team head-to-head Fantasy league. The first 2,500 coaches who create and fill such a league before Round 1 will win an annual NRL Digital Pass subscription worth $90 – allowing you to watch every NRL game live on your tablet or compatible mobile device.

Every week of the NRL season $500 will go up for grabs to the highest-scoring Fantasy team of the round, with the top five Fantasy coaches each week also receiving an annual Digital Pass subscription.

At the end of the year the overall runner-up will win $1000 in cash, while 16 club champions – the highest-scoring fan of each of NRL club – will win a $100 NRLShop.com voucher.

There are prizes up for grabs for those playing NRL Draft as well – the first 500 Fantasy coaches who create a full 16-team Draft head-to-head league before Round 1 will receive an annual NRL Digital Pass, and the Draft league with the most total points at the end of the season will also win $500 cash.

And then there are the mini-games during the season. There are $500 cash prizes on offer for the winners of the Match Day games for each of the three State of Origin contests, while the winner of Test Match Fantasy for the Australia v New Zealand Test will win $500 cash plus two tickets to the NRL Grand Final. The overall highest-scoring team from the three State of Origin Fantasy rounds will also receive $500 and two Grand Final tickets.

And then there's the Fantasy Finals comp: $500 is up for grabs in each of the first three weeks of the NRL finals, while the highest-scoring Fantasy team from the NRL Grand Final will win $1000 cash. The overall highest-scorer from the four-week NRL Finals series will win $2000.

So what are you waiting for? NRL Fantasy is free to play so sign up if you haven't already and recruit as many mates as possible to play against during the year.
