Brisbane star Anthony Milford says the club enjoyed their Downer NRL Auckland Nines campaign but have switched on for the series proper ahead of their World Club Series match against Warrington Wolves.

Warrington are backing up from a loss to the Catalans Dragons in their Super League season opener last week, but Milford is expecting a tough match nonetheless.

"The Nines was a bit of fun and we tried to enjoy it as much as we can with the ball," Milford told the Broncos website from London.

"Now it is time to get ready for Round 1 and preparing ourselves the best way we can.

"Any team that comes up against the Broncos are always going to bring their 'A' game.

"They (Warrington) will put their best foot forward, so we will have to.

"There is a little bit of vision of them, but our main focus is on how we prepare and how we focus for the game."
