Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs prop Tim Browne has extended his stay at the Bulldogs until the end of 2016.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forward Tim Browne has signed a one-year extension with the club that will keep him at Belmore until the end of 2016.

The 26-year-old was originally contracted until the end of 2015 but his consistency through this season has earned the Raymond Terrace Roosters junior a 12-month extension, the Bulldogs stated.

Browne made his NRL debut in Round 5, 2010 against the Warriors and has since gone on to make 35 appearances in the blue and white.

Browne has made 17 of those appearances this year, having played in every club game so far, but now faces one to two months on the sideline with a skull fracture suffered last week against Wests Tigers.

The club said Browne has grown considerably during his time at the club, and he said he was pleased to be able to extend his stay.

"I’ve really enjoyed the last couple of seasons here and to be able to stay is a great feeling," Browne said.

"I had some tough years with injury but the last couple have been great and I hope I can continue to play consistently under the guidance of Des."

Chief Executive Raelene Castle has been impressed with Browne since arriving at the club.

"Tim is one of those guys who is fantastic in the team environment," Castle said. "He’s been a consistent performer throughout this year and we hope that continues over the next couple of years."

Coach Des Hasler said he was pleased to have Browne extending his time at the club.

"Tim is continuing to learn about what it takes to play week in, week out in the NRL and is finding consistency in his game," Hasler said.
