The Bulldogs are on the way to the 2014 NRL Grand Final after defeating the Panthers on Saturday night.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have announced that they will face the Cronulla Sharks in their 'Back to Belmore' match in season 2015.

As part of the club's 80th Anniversary celebrations, the Bulldogs will take on the men from the Sutherland Shire at Belmore Sports Ground in Round 20 on Sunday, 26 July.

In what will be a significant occasion, fans are encouraged to become members of the club as it will be the only way to guarantee entry in what will be the first competition match to be played at the venue since 1998.

Chief Executive Raelene Castle knows it will be a special day for the club.

"We announced back in Grand Final week that we were heading 'Back to Belmore' and off the back of the excitement and passion that the locals showed for their team during that week, we know it will be an extremely special occasion for everyone associated with the club and the community," Castle said.

"It will be a big year of celebrations where we will look back at the proud history of this club and it will all come together at a family friendly time on a Sunday afternoon.

"I know that all the players and coaching staff will be excited about the opportunity to play an official NRL match at the spiritual home of the Bulldogs to show respect for the many great battles of years gone by.

"Given we are working towards signing up a record number of members in 2015, Belmore being included in all full member packages, is another great reason to sign up and show you are Born and Bred."
