Storm centre Will Chambers will spend the next two weeks on the sidelines after taking an early guilty plea for his 40th-minute shoulder charge on Dragons fullback Josh Dugan in Monday night's last-minute thriller at AAMI Park.

Chambers will miss this week's away trip to the nation's capital as well as Melbourne's Round 8 Anzac Day clash with the Warriors, while Joel Thompson is free to play in Round 7 after taking an early guilty plea for a dangerous throw on Young Tonumaipea.

Chambers, George Burgess, Ben Te'o, Ben Matulino and Frank Pritchard have all copped suspensions after Round 6 charges.

Both Burgess and Te'o will miss South Sydney's massive Good Friday clash against the Bulldogs after copping one-game bans for tripping offences against Panthers fullback Matt Moylan last Friday night. Both players were brought undone by carry-over points.

Warriors hardman Matulino will spend the next two weeks on the sidelines for his 33rd minute shoulder charge on Bulldogs prop James Graham on Sunday.

Bulldogs co-captain Frank Pritchard, who is out for several months due to a pectoral injury suffered against the Warriors, was outed for a game due to a careless high tackle on Konrad Hurrell (no contest).

Titans utility Paul Carter and Panthers five-eighth Jamie Soward were also charged with careless high tackles at the weekend, but are free to play after early guilty pleas.

Early guilty pleas from Titans prop Luke Bailey (tripping), Souths halfback Adam Reynolds (chicken wing tackle) and Broncos international Sam Thaiday (crusher tackle) have seen the trio avoid suspension.

Like teammate Thompson, Dragons hooker Mitch Rein was charged with a Grade 1 offence from Monday's clash against Melbourne but escapes suspension through an early guilty plea.
