Rabbitohs and Bulldogs fans will be given dedicated supporter trains to Sydney Olympic Park ahead of the 2014 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final in Sydney on Sunday at ANZ Stadium.

Transport for NSW, in partnership with the NRL and the clubs, will co-ordinate four dedicated supporter trains from local areas in addition to the normal services which will operate with the integrated Public Transport ticketing.

Four special services will depart Sydenham and travel through Belmore and Bankstown - and make a number of additional stops on the way - to take thousands of Bulldogs fans to Sydney Olympic Park. Meanwhile a number of services will travel from Central, through Redfern and Strathfield, for Rabbitohs supporters.

The Rabbitohs Express will depart Central at 4:09pm, while the Sutto Express (4:27pm), the Burgess Express (5:08pm) and the GI Express (5:27pm) will follow.

Des’s Direct will leave Sydenham at 4:09pm, followed by the Reynolds Rattler (4:39pm), the Bupa Bandwagon (5:09pm) and the T-Rex Rocket (5:39pm).

In addition, trains will run between Central and Olympic Park every 15 minutes between 1:00pm and 3:00pm, every 10 minutes until 5:00pm, and every 6 minutes until 7:00pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield on the way.

Trains will also run between Blacktown and Olympic Park every 10 minutes from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, then every 6 minutes until 7pm, stopping at Seven Hills, Westmead, Parramatta, Granville, and Lidcombe. These services will operate with the integrated Public Transport ticketing which comes with each NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final ticket.

The area around ANZ Stadium known as the Precinct will be open from 11am and transformed into a carnival area with free entry, rides, team bars, food stalls, family-friendly activities and a merchandise marquee.

Fans are reminded to keep their tickets for the return journey, as customers must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport.

The NRL would like to acknowledge the support of Transport for NSW and Sydney Trains in delivering additional transport needs for our fans.
