Michael Gordon insists he'll have to fight for the Parramatta fullback spot in 2016.

Parramatta fullback Michael Gordon is confident the Eels' attack will continue to improve as they prepare for an Easter Monday showdown with the Wests Tigers.

Gordon had his best game of the season against the Bulldogs, running for 178 metres, and making seven tackle breaks.

He believes the team is well placed heading into the Wests Tigers showdown.

"We just have to keep building on that and not think the job is done," Gordon said.

"We have played probably the three best defensive teams in the first three rounds so to get two wins is pretty good I suppose for us. Moving forward it's something we can really build on.

"The work ethic of the players and obviously the environment Brad [Arthur] has created here has been first class. I'm just glad I've been able to just fit in here.

"It's only early days with our attack. Kieran [Foran] and Corey [Norman] have only played a couple of games together so I think as the season goes on we'll start working on a lot more.

"It should get better for everyone involved as we focus in our defence. Our attack will come [off the back of that]."

Having only signed a one-year contract to join the Eels this season, Gordon is in no rush to sort out his future.

"It's still only early days at the moment so I suppose I'll just focus on the season," he said.

"If we're winning and I'm playing good football then I have a case to take to the club to try and stay."

Gordon – who played once for New South Wales back in 2010 – also weighed in on teammate Semi Radradra's desire to play State of Origin football.

"It's not my call to say. But obviously being a New South Welshmen I'd love to see him play, but the rules are there and I suppose it's not up to me to fix them," Gordon said.

"He's fantastic though. Watching him last year he was phenomenal. Coming to the Eels since, he's a man of few words but what he does on the field is freakish.

"He showed a lot by coming in-field a lot looking for the ball [against Canterbury] and that's only better for us when he does that."
