Nathan Hindmarsh

2009 Provan Summons Award

Congratulations to Jamie Soward for securing his first Provan Summons People's Choice Award.

Taking the mantle from 2008 winner Nathan Hindmarsh, Soward has been voted the NRL's best player of 2009 by the most important judging panel in the game…. the fans.

Steeped in tradition, the award was inspired by two great men of rugby league - Norm Provan and Arthur Summons who feature prominently on the Telstra Premiership trophy.

Previous winners of the Provan Summons award include:

  • Brad Fittler (1997)
  • Andrew Johns (1998-2002)
  • Darren Lockyer (2004)
  • Nathan Hindmarsh (2005-2008)
