St George Illawarra and New Zealand utility Nathan Fien has been called into the NRL All Stars squad as a replacement for Dragons teammate Ben Hornby.

Hornby, who was named as one of Wayne Bennett's two squad selections, has been ruled out of the clash with the Indigenous All Stars for next week's clash on the Gold Coast due to a thigh strain.

Bennett has requested more time to decide on a replacement for Cameron Smith, who is also out of the game due to a shoulder problem.
