Harbour Bridge Pylons
NRL in partnership with Destination NSW will light up Sydney from this Sunday when the Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons are brought to life with a series of Grand Final images.

NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell will flick the switch on the biggest week of Telstra Premiership Grand Final events in history when he lights up Sydney with 80m high images of the 2012 Telstra Premiership Season projected on the Harbour Bridge pylons.

 

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

One Community Awards
Courage and skill on the football field take a back seat to selfless acts of rugby league service by the game’s players, workers and volunteers when the fifth annual rugby league One Community Awards seizes the spotlight next Monday night.

Launching Grand Final Week, it’s the occasion when rugby league acknowledges and celebrates its unsung heroes, highlighting the tremendous contributions from a wide range of individuals including volunteer coaches, community workers, referees, NRL players and clubs, as well as the tireless work of myriad teachers and development officers.

Around 350 invited guests will attend the glittering ceremony at the Sydney Town Hall, including NRL club officials and players and award nominees.

Telstra Premiership Grand Final Club activities
The teams and match officials for the 2012 Telstra Premiership Grand Final will be announced with the Grand Final Clubs, hosting their own special fan days. For further information on the fan days visit www.nrl.com.au from Sunday, 23 September.

 

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

Grand Final Day Breakfast
The Telstra Premiership Grand Final Breakfast is an event steeped in tradition.  Attended by both the Grand Final teams, the breakfast is broadcast live on Fox Sports 2 at 8:00am.

Attended by over 700 guests the morning includes great moments of the season, presentation to the Grand Final referees, key player match-up interviews, coach interviews and entertainment.

NRL Grand Final Week Fan Day and Channel Nine Footy Show Live
NRL players, a performance by triple Platinum recording artist “Timomatic”, skills clinics, family-friendly rides and activities, are all on offer at this year’s Telstra Premiership Fan Day on Thursday, 27 September.

Enjoy a free afternoon out at Sydney Olympic Park before joining all your Footy Show favourites, as well as both Grand Final teams in their final appearance before at the Channel Nine Footy Show live at All Phones Arena.

The 2012 Telstra Premiership Grand Final Fan Day is a terrific way for the whole family to celebrate the end of the Rugby League season, meet the stars of the game and get into the Grand Final Week fever.

Held for the first time at ANZ Stadium the Fan Day will run from 3:00pm-6:00pm and is free to the general public, with tickets for the live Channel Nine Footy Show available from ticketek.com.au for $25 A Reserve and $20 B Reserve.

Last year’s NRL Telstra Grand Final Premiership Fan Day attracted almost 3000 Rugby League fans.

Telstra Premiership Grand Final Precinct
Rugby League fans are set for a world-class entertainment experience when they purchase their 2012 Telstra Premiership Grand Final tickets with exclusive access to the 2012 Telstra Premiership Grand Final Day Precinct included in the cost of their ticket.

For the first time the Grand Final Precinct will be transformed into a carnival featuring team bars, rides, a merchandise supercentre and an afternoon of entertainment on stage, culminating in a performance by Australia’s double platinum, hip-hop dance and pop music group “Justice Crew”.

Get the Grand Final Day party started by warming up with Rugby League skills clinics, cheerleading classes, carnival rides, face painting, roving performers, circus school, laser skirmish and a zip-line.

The Precinct will feature three stages with entertainment across the day including DJs, bands, competitions, prizes, giveaways, player interviews, some of the One Community Ambassadors.

The final allocation of tickets for the 2012 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final will go on sale to members of the competing NRL teams on Monday September 24 at 10am with remaining tickets made available to the general public on Tuesday 25 September at 10:00am through ticketek.com.au

Grand Final Day is the culmination of an exciting week of events and a season of amazing Rugby League with over 80,000 fans attending ANZ Stadium to be part of the biggest game of the year.

US sensation “Good Charlotte” will headline the Grand Final Entertainment while Irish band “The Script” will make a tribute to retiring players.

More than 3.1million viewers across Metropolitan and Regional Australia will tune into the Telstra Premiership NRL Grand Final on Channel Nine.

Prior to the main game the VB NSW Cup and Toyota Cup (U/20's National Youth Competition) Grand Finals will take place.
