Panthers forward Chris Grevsmuhl is a late inclusion for his side's Round 24 clash with Wests Tigers.

The Penrith Panthers have granted Chris Grevsmuhl an immediate release from his contract in order to deal with issues of a personal nature the club announced on Friday.

The club agreed to the release on compassionate grounds, to give Grevsmuhl the time away from the game that he requires.

Grevsmuhl played 14 NRL games for the Panthers after joining the club from South Sydney Rabbitohs midway through the 2016 season.
