After playing a role in consigning his former club to another heart-breaking loss, Eels halfback Mitch Moses says while he still feels for his former teammates he is happy where he is now – building a rapidly-improving combination with Eels five-eighth Corey Norman in a team that looks destined for the 2017 finals.

‌Moses also laughed that he'd have to "have a chat" with housemate and Tigers halfback Luke Brooks after the latter lined up Moses with a trip and a possible shoulder charge in Wests' 17-16 loss to the Eels at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

"I was actually pretty relaxed [this week], I wasn't thinking about [playing the old club] too much," Moses said after the game.

"You always want to get one up on your old club [but] I was pretty relaxed before the game and felt pretty good at the start of the game."

He said he "100 per cent" feels sympathy for his former club, who continue to put in strong efforts without collecting wins in a disappointing season.

"They're trying their heart our every week and you can see that, you can't fault that in their footy, it's not like they're throwing the towel in and giving away their season," Moses said.

"They're playing each week and trying their best each week. I definitely feel a bit for them but I'm happy where I am at the moment."

Of Brooks – who lined up Moses with a shoulder in the first set of the game and landed himself on report for tripping his housemate in the final – Moses laughed: "He's got me a couple of times, I'll have to have a word to him when I get home tonight!

"But nah he was outstanding, they completed very well and didn't give us really any opportunities."

Moses also seemed surprised by a lack of hostility from the Tigers home fans.

"I didn't hear one sledge at all, I was expecting it a bit more," Moses said.

"I think there were a few more Parra fans than Tigers fans out there. I probably cop a bit more sledging in other games than today. It was good, I expected it but it was pretty good and to come away with a win against your old club."
