Knights sign former Shark Gagan

Rising Cronulla Sharks star Jacob Gagan certainly hasn't looked out of place in the NRL since making his debut in Round 13.

The Newcastle Knights have signed former Sharks outside back Jacob Gagan for the 2017 season.

The 23-year-old has scored five tries in seven NRL games for the Sharks, and scored 15 tries in 23 games for the Newtown Jets in 2016.

"Jacob is a talented young player that has been restricted from playing more NRL football due to an accomplished, premiership winning Sharks backline," Knights coach Nathan Brown said.

"He will add some really good depth to our outside backs."
