The Knights' back three of Darius Boyd, James McManus and Akuila Uate ran for a massive 509 metres between them in the 8-6 win over the Panthers at Hunter Stadium in Round 6.

McManus, who racked up 196 metres, registered almost half of those in one run. He made the only line-break by either side in the entire game when he stepped between two defenders and raced 90 metres to score in the seventh minute.

Uate ran for 161 metres and Boyd 152.

The Panthers led 8-0 midway through the first half, with Kurt Gidley having kicked two goals.

There was no more scoring until the 69th minute, when Panthers forward Sika Manu scored and Luke Walsh converted. The Knights were able to hang on and win the dour game from there.
