Fullback Matt Bowen had a tremendous all-round game for the Cowboys as they proved much too good for the Raiders at 1300SMILES Stadium in Round 7.

Bowen, who was resuming after a knee injury, scored a try, set one up and also produced a great tackle to stop the much bigger Joel Thompson from scoring for the Raiders.

The Cowboys overcame an early, 6-4 deficit to lead 16-6 at halftime, and never let the Raiders back into the game from there.

It was a milestone game for Cowboys winger Ashley Graham, who scored his 100th NRL try two minutes from fulltime.

Canberra coach David Furner lamented the fact the Raiders had prepared to try to stop Bowen, but couldn’t do it.
Cowboys forwards Matt Scott and Tariq Sims helped build the platform for the backs, running for 155 and 132 metres respectively.
