Just four weeks ago, in Round 12, the Warriors showed no mercy on a Broncos side decimated by the loss of players to State of Origin and injury.

The Broncos were playing at home, but it didn’t matter. The Warriors came to Suncorp Stadium, saw the opposition run out and then conquered them, 56-18.

It was the first time the Broncos had ever conceded 50 points in a game in Queensland, and afterwards their coach, Anthony Griffin, described the performance as “embarrassing”.

After 25 minutes the score was 8-all, but by halftime it had already blown out to 26-8.

The trend continued in the second half, with just a temporary interruption via a couple of Broncos tries midway through.
Manu Vatuvei, Konrad Hurrell, Thomas Leuluai and Glen Fisiiahi each had tryscoring doubles in the 10-try performance.

It was the first away win of the season for the Warriors.
