Sharks back-rower Luke Lewis celebrates a grand final victory with his daughter and the Clive Churchill Medal.

Sharks back-rower Luke Lewis has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal to remain with the premiers for the 2017 season.

Lewis, who was awarded the Clive Churchill Medal as the Man of the Match in the 2016 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final, has been with the club since 2013 and has made 76 appearances in the black, white and blue of Cronulla.

"I think we've got 15 of our 17 from the grand final, so I'm hopefully looking forward to a good 2017 and very stoked to be a part of the Sharkies for another year," Lewis told sharks.com.au.
