New Zealand Warriors forward Sione Lousi will have to sit out three games after the club was unsuccessful in having his dangerous throw charge downgraded at the judiciary on Thursday night.

Lousi was cited for a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw during his side's 42-18 win in Wellington on Saturday for an awkward tackle in which he flipped over Wests Tigers forward Cory Paterson, leaving him with a concussion.

The Warriors took the case to the judiciary on Thursday night to contest the grading of the charge but the challenge was unsuccessful, meaning Lousi will miss three games.
