While Manly needs to move on, a disappointed Justin Horo says it is vital the side doesn't forget what the 34-18 loss to Wests Tigers felt like.
Despite having kept the premiers to nil in an 8-0 win at Allianz a week earlier the Sea Eagles were swamped in an opening half blitz by the Tigers, at one point down 26-0 in an un-Manly-like performance. Yet Horo said there’s plenty the side can take out of the loss.
"Obviously the fact that we've got to be on our game week in, week out. It was a tough game last week, we didn't do ourselves any justice by not backing it up this week," he told NRL.com.
He said while the team needs to move on for the loss "you've got to remember it".
He said the highly vocal and extremely parochial Leichhardt crowd of 16,311 was "not at all" a factor for Manly, especially seeing they are based at a similar suburban ground in Brookvale Oval.
"There's always going to be home-ground advantage, that kind of happens when the team gets on top of you, they get a little bit louder, you've just got to tough it out. We try and not let the crowds affect us whether that be home or away," he said.
"Leichhardt is pretty similar to Brooky, they've got that Sunday arvo feel. We love those games and it's disappointing, that effort.
"No-one will be happy with that game individually and that shows the result that we had for a team so it's back to the drawing board."
