Simon Mannering finished 2015 as the highest-scoring player in NRL Fantasy.

Kiwis and Warriors captain Simon Mannering has been ruled out of New Zealand's coming tour to England on medical grounds.

The 29-year-old has had a series of tests since finishing his 11th NRL campaign last month.

"Simon has some gastric issues which have affected him during the season," Warriors head doctor John Mayhew told the Warriors website

"While tests we've conducted haven't revealed anything to cause alarm Simon still isn't right and requires further assessment."

Mannering was named in the Kiwis' train-on squad but hasn't been involved in any training sessions held since the club's NRL campaign finished.

Warriors coach Andrew McFadden said Mannering won't be required to train with the club until December.
