Toyota U/20s State of Origin
GIO NSW U/20's State of Origin Team v Nova Queensland U/20's State of Origin Team

Saturday, April 21, 2012
Kick-Off 7:30pm at Centrebet Stadium, Penrith

The inaugural Toyota Under 20s State of Origin kicks off this Saturday in Penrith, and will be well worth catching due to the high quality talent that will be on display.

Queensland has drawn primarily from the Toyota Cup competition, naming 14 of the 17 from the National Under 20's competition, whilst NSW has extended their selection to include six NRL players.

Unsurprisingly Brisbane Broncos players feature heavily in the Queensland side, with Lachlan Maranta, Aaron Whitchurch, Caleb Timu, Mitchell Frei, Benn Malley, Corey Oates and Travis Peeters all earning call ups, whilst Hymel Hunt (Titans), Alex Elisala (Cowboys) and Chris Grevsmuhl (Cowboys) represent the other two northern based sides.

Queensland will look to their centres to ignite their attack against the more experienced NSW side, with former basketball star and current Raider, Edrick Lee on one side, and exciting NRL prospect Tautau Moga filling the other centre position.

For NSW, the NRL experienced halves combination of Harry Siejka (Panthers) and Jacob Miller (Wests Tigers) will lead around the side and will help give the home team the edge heading into the game. Added in three NRL experienced forwards in Matt Groat, Alex McKinnon and Boyd Cordner will add some much needed muscle up front.
