Gold Coast Titans hooker Matt Srama has signed with the Sydney Roosters on a one-year deal.

Srama, who was unwanted by Titans coach Neil Henry, was picked up by the Roosters following the departures of Daniel Mortimer and Heath L'Estrange, while first-choice hooker Jake Friend remains in severe doubt to be fit by Round 1.

Roosters recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan believes that 23-year-old Srama will be a valuable asset to the club.

"Matt's opportunities have been hindered by injury but he's in terrific shape. A tough and uncompromising player, Matt's experience and talent will add great depth to our squad," said O'Sullivan.
