Roger Tuivasa-Sheck enjoyed a winning start to life as a Warriors at the Downer NRL Auckland Nines.

Andrew McFadden has named a new-look Warriors team for their Round 1 clash with the Wests Tigers.

New signings Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Issac Luke, Jeff Robson and Blake Ayshford will start, with Ben Henry returning in the second row and another recruit James Gavet named on the bench.

There is no space for World All Stars centre Konrad Hurrell, with Ayshford and Solomone Kata taking the centre spots and Tuimoala Lolohea and Manu Vatuvei starting on the wings.

The Warriors have also named 19-year-old hooker Nathaniel Roache to make his debut off the bench.

"We're especially excited for Nate making his debut," Warriors coach Andrew McFadden said.

"He has done everything asked of him and we couldn't be happier that he now has his chance.

"James [Gavet] has really surprised us with the way he has come through to demand a place. He certainly deserves it with the way he's trained and through his efforts in the trials.

"It's also great to see Ben [Henry] back. He has worked so hard to fight his way back into the NRL."
