Cowboys forward Makenzie Weale will miss the rest of the season after she was unsuccessful in her bid to have her Dangerous Contact charge downgraded at the judiciary.

Weale's hip drop tackle on Dragon Alexis Tauaneai was classified as a Grade 3 by the match review committee.

Weale pleaded guilty but fronted the judiciary on Tuesday night to dispute the grading. She was found guilty at Panel and has been banned for three games, meaning her season is over with the Cowboys out of finals contention.

Cowboys teammate Tiana Raftstrand-Smith was also charged with Dangerous Contact on Tauaneai 18 minutes later and has been issued with a warning for her first offence in this category.

Titans pair Sienna Lofipo and Shannon Mato have also accepted warnings, along with Eels centre Lindsay Tui, Roosters forward Olivia Kernick and Knights winger Sheridan Gallagher following incidents stemming from Round 7.
