Round 23's clash between the Broncos and the Rabbitohs will kick off a run of Thursday night NRL blockbusters.
Some of the biggest blockbuster matches of 2014 will be held in the last six rounds of the Telstra Premiership, under the final schedule released today.

NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said Thursday night football will also return for the last four rounds of competition.

It will kick off in Round 23 with a match between the Rabbitohs and Broncos.

Mr Greenberg said the 2014 competition is one of the closest on record and there will be enormous interest in the final six rounds.

"The fact is most games in the final six rounds will have a bearing on the final eight so every match is going to be important," he said.

Mr Greenberg said the NRL would continue to take games to regional areas in the final rounds with the Rabbitohs v Knights game in Cairns in Round 21 and the Eels playing the Raiders in Darwin in Round 22.
