Matt Elliott looks at defensive structures; the good and the bad.

He's a veteran coach of 272 NRL games and Matt Elliott is back on NRL.com for season 2016 to dissect all the plays that matter in The Breakdown.

This week Elliott looks at defence and identifies three key things to a good defensive unit: attitude, individual tackling technique and team structure.

In a two-part episode of the Breakdown, he looks at why the Warriors and Wests Tigers both conceded over 40 points last week, while in part two, he demonstrates how the Storm and Sharks were able to dominate with their defence.
