Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco in action against the Rabbitohs in Round 14 of the 2015 Telstra Premiership.

It's Thursday and that means another chance at beating your mates and winning $500 by playing NRL Fantasy Match Day Thursday.

Every Thursday brings a whole new game and in Round 9 we have the Rabbitohs taking on Wests Tigers. All you need to do is pick six players from both teams, select a captain (who will score triple points) and a vice-captain (double points) and see your NRL Fantasy points roll in while watching Thursday Night Footy.

So which six players should you select for tonight's game? Let's take a look at some of the form Fantasy players.

Hooker (HOK)

Robbie Farah (averaging 52 Fantasy points per game) and Cameron McInnes (49) appear to be the best HOK options for this Match Day Thursday, but the Rabbitohs have named Damien Cook (26) to start at hooker. Cook could be a good point of difference, but it is tough to go past Farah.

Front-row forward (FRF)

With Aaron Woods (45) out injured, South Sydney enforcer Sam Burgess (49) is the stand-out option at FRF in this match-up. Burgess is a dual position player in NRL Fantasy, meaning he can be selected at FRF or 2RF. Burgess has been named at lock for the Rabbitohs and should continue to rack up the points in tackles and run metres. Like Burgess, Tigers forward Sauaso Sue (34) is available at FRF and 2RF but has been named at lock.

Second-row forward (2RF)

As mentioned above, Sam Burgess (49) and Sauaso Sue (34) are both available at 2RF. Rabbitohs back-rower Kyle Turner (41) returns to the starting team alongside Chris Grevsmuhl (40). Tigers centre-turned-forward Chris Lawrence (42) is a dual position player available at 2RF and CTR. More on him later.

Half (HLF)

Rabbitohs playmaker Adam Reynolds (44) is under an injury cloud after copping another knock to the jaw last week. Wests Tigers young guns Luke Brooks (33) and Mitchell Moses (29) must lift on Thursday night, while Luke Keary (36) could be a solid option if Reynolds is feeling the effects of his injury.

Centre (CTR)

There are plenty of options at CTR in this Match Day match-up with Kevin Naiqama (44), Bryson Goodwin (37) and Tim Simona (24) all capable of big scores in what could be an open game at ANZ Stadium. But the smart way to go could be dual position player Chris Lawrence (42) who is available at CTR but has been playing in the second-row for the Tigers all season.

Wing-Fullback (WFB)

Two words: James Tedesco (56). The Wests Tigers fullback should be the first player picked in your NRL Fantasy Match Day Thursday team this week. The Tigers will be aiming to break their losing streak against a vulnerable South Sydney side and Tedesco will be chiming into the backline at any given opportunity. His opposite number Greg Inglis (39) hasn't been getting big Fantasy scores but could have a big game tonight, while David Nofoaluma has been averaging an impressive 41 Fantasy points on the wing for the Tigers.

There is no salary cap in Match Day Fantasy so you can pick any six players in their respective positions. Once you've selected your team set up a League with your friends or work colleagues and play Match Day Thursday every week. Pick your team on Thursday and win bragging rights by Friday.
