The success stories, flops and talking points to come out of this week's NRL Fantasy action.

Winners

Four players passed the 80-point mark this week, and they were all forwards. Paul Gallen (81) enjoyed a return to form with his best performance of the year so far; Andrew McCullough (81) scored a try and made 61 tackles in his 250th NRL game; and new Fantasy stars Coen Hess and Paul Vaughan both smashed out 80s with three tries between them.

Halves Nathan Cleary (74), Johnathan Thurston (63) and Daly Cherry-Evans (61) all hit season-high scores, David Nofoaluma (73) made three offloads and a whopping 14 tackle breaks against the Storm, while Dragons forward Tyson Frizell (63) and Storm speedster Josh Addo-Carr (61) also impressed.

Curtis Sironen was one of the most traded out players of last week but those who kept the faith were rewarded with 58 points and a welcome price boost, while winger/fullbacks Jordan Rapana, Cody Walker and James Tedesco continue to average over 50 this season.

Meanwhile cheapie Kalyn Ponga (47) excelled again at fullback for the Cowboys and will be a good earner if he can hold a spot in the side in the coming weeks.

Losers

Aidan Sezer (7) is a definite sell for the 9,073 Fantasy coaches who have him, likewise for the even more popular Manly utility Lewis Brown (8).

New Shark James Segeyaro has seen his price drop after scoring just 10 in limited minutes off the bench in his club debut, but he could be a good pick-up for Jayden Brailey owners if and when he replaces Brailey in Cronulla's starting side.

Generally it was a low-scoring round for a lot of Fantasy favourites. James Tamou (29), Jesse Bromwich (25), Kane Elgey (22), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (20), Sione Mata'utia (19 at centre), Suaia Matagi (19), Nick Cotric (19), Brock Lamb (17), Brad Abbey (17), Robert Jennings (15), Tautau Moga (15), Pat Kaufusi (15) and Jordan Kahu (12) were all underwhelming this week.

And popular cut-price keeper Elliott Whitehead had a week to forget, scoring a solid but unspectacular 40 but also being cited for tripping, which could see him miss one or two matches through suspension.
