Some 80,000-plus fans will witness the historic all-Queensland NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final on Sunday 4 October at ANZ Stadium, with festivities planned throughout the day at Sydney Olympic Park.

All tickets to the NRL Grand Final include return travel on Sydney Trains and Major Event Buses, with fans encouraged to take advantage of the public transport, arrive early and enjoy the pre-game festivities.

ANZ Stadium Managing Director Mr Daryl Kerry said: “Sunday promises to be one of the great NRL Grand Final days. The best advice is to give yourself plenty of time and arrive early in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct so that you can relax with family and friends and make the most of a special day.”

NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg said: “More than 20,000 Queenslanders are expected to be at ANZ Stadium for the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final. It’s an historic clash with the first ever all-Queensland decider and the first ever captained by two Indigenous players.”

Direct trains will run between Central and Olympic Park every 15 minutes from 1pm to 5pm and then every 7-8 minutes from 5pm to 9pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield.

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses will start running between 12noon and 12:40pm depending on the route. Buses will begin arriving at Olympic Park from 1:30pm with the last bus expected to arrive by 7pm.

Fans are reminded to keep their tickets for the return journey, as customers must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport.

Fans are also reminded that Daylight Saving begins in NSW on Sunday when clocks go forward one hour at 2am.

NRL Grand Final celebrations will begin in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct outside ANZ Stadium at 11am, with family-friendly activities, live entertainment and music, beer gardens, cafes and pop-up eateries, live motorcross and a mini touch football field.

Make sure you’re in your seats at ANZ Stadium by 6.30pm for the electrifying build-up to the NRL Grand Final, with Aussie rock legends Cold Chisel LIVE pre-game performance.

While fans are encouraged to enjoy the day, NSW Police have reminded Grand Final attendees that NSW Licensing laws prohibit intoxicated patrons from entering ANZ Stadium and that they will be removed from the Stadium if deemed to be intoxicated.
