All 16 NRL clubs are helping to spread some Christmas cheer through their community activities this month.

NRL stars will help Santa spread some Christmas cheer across the month of December by heading out to spend some time in their own club's communities.

Players will host community sausage sizzles and sporting clinics, visit local hospitals, youth centres and shelters and even play Secret Santa.

"For many of the players Christmas is one of their favourite times of the year when they get the chance to have some fun and at the same time put a smile on the face of some special children," NRL Head of Community Adam Check said.

"Clubs have the opportunity to engage with their own communities in their own special ways and bring some Christmas cheer to these children, many of whom have encountered more challenges than most of us will see in our lifetimes."

The Broncos will spend time with youth at the Red Cross Night Café in Brisbane, while the Bulldogs will join in boxing and basketball sessions with youngsters from the Belmore PCYC.
