Often referred to as 'The Man of Steel', who could be a more fitting Mascot for Newcastle's team of hero's than a strong, courageous Knight! KNYTRO is at his most expressive whenever the Knights score a try, which he acknowledges by piercing the air with a defiant thrust of his sword.

Great lumbering steps move him purposely forward and the ground shudders whenever KNYTRO makes his appearance. KNYTRO's stature and presence magnifies ten fold when the Knights play at their home ground EnergyAustralia Stadium in 'the Hunter heartland'. As the Knights ready themselves on game day, they draw courage and conviction by placing a hand on the chest plate of this brave defender before taking the field.

Above all else, he is a man of the people, well respected in his local district and looked up to as someone who can be counted on when the chips are down. In the privacy of his resting quarters at "My Clubhouse", KNYTRO spends hours polishing his armour to ensure that none of the other Mascots, come game day, will outshine him.

KNYTRO likes to unwind with the locals and his favourite haunts are ‘Balance’ for a workout to keep up his strict fitness regime, 'Newcastle Showground' for a little impromptu jousting, and ‘Nobby’s Beach’ where he’ll often be found catching a wave, building sand castle or kicking back writing in his journal.
