NRL Telstra Premiership 2009

Raiders

Just like his dad, Victor the Viking, VICTOR JUNIOR or VJ (as he is known at home) knows only one way - forward.

He has little patience for complicated plans and adopts a positive and simple philosophy of 'why run around them when you can run through them.' One of his strides is the equivalent of three mortal strides and with his massive fists carving the air as he charges forward, he is an imposing sight testing the courage of all those who dare stand in his path.

Battle hardened and uncompromising, he's a gracious combatant who respects the skills and deeds of the opposition, and is quick to acknowledge a great hit, a well timed pass, or a courageous head-on tackle with a sly wink and a nod of ‘well done.’

In his spare time, VJ likes to cruise Lake 'Burlo' on his 'suped-up' and specially modified long ship.

VJ’s most prized possessions are his horns and wrist bands, fashioned from the very same steel used to create the Green Machine that ran rampant in the late 80's and early 90's. With every Raiders' try, you'll see him holding his helmet aloft, slowly bringing it down to shoulder level and pointing his horns challengingly at the opposition.
