STRIPES is a mellow character who loves the company of others - a real people tiger who loves to hang with the fans as well as his fellow mascots. Crowds naturally gather around him, drawn in by the sincerity in his warm greeting, which consists usually of a high five or a gentle 'tiger' hug.
While there's no doubting his commitment to the success of the Wests Tigers, he also holds dear many principles that paint a bigger picture, such as sportsmanship, playing the game hard but fair, and getting a buzz out of the simple joy of competing and performing to personal best levels. As a ball distributor without parallel, he's able to slip a pass to a support player drawing solely on his sublime tiger instinct.
And when it comes to heart, no one's is bigger than STRIPES and whilst it fuels his strong sense of community off the field, it's also what drives him to defy the odds on the field and what ignites his famous Tiger spirit.
In between grooming himself for game day, STRIPES spends his time go-carting out at Campbelltown on a Friday night or checking out the markets in Darling Street on a Saturday afternoon.
