Halfback Mitch Pearce has taken out the Jack Gibson Medal as the Roosters player of the year in 2014.

It is the third time in his career Pearce has taken home the award, having previously won in 2008 and 2010, and comes on the back of a career-best run of home over the second half of the season.

NSW Origin coach Laurie Daley declared Pearce's man-of-the-match showing against the Rabbitohs in Round 26 the most complete performance he'd seen from the 25-year-old, and his impressive turnaround from being dumped as Blues halfback has him firmly in contention to resurrect his rep career in 2015.

Centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall won the James Mathews Award for Clubman of the Year, while retiring skipper Anthony Minichiello was the recipient of the Roosters Our Community Award for his off-field efforts and commitment to charity work.

Eighteen-year-old Jackson Hastings, who made a highly anticipated first grade debut late in the year and is the son of Tri-colours legend Kevin, took home the Harry Phipps Rising Star Award.
