As we celebrate Harvey Norman Women In League Round some of the game's biggest names pay tribute to the women who have contributed so much to their careers.

Cameron Smith (Storm)

"Without doubt my mum and also my wife Barbara. Mum drove me around and followed me all over Queensland and Barb is always helping me out by packing bags for road trips etc."

Jacob Lillyman (Warriors)

"It would be my mum Thomasine, especially early on. Mums do everything and have the toughest job in the world. Also my partner Tui-Kay who over the last couple of years has been my pillar of support."

Nate Myles (Titans)

"My mum, Janet Evans, was Miss Southern Suburbs when she was younger and for as long as I've known they've always been around Suburbs footy club. Not so much every weekend in the canteen and things like that but selling tickets, doing their bit, sponsoring junior teams; Mum still sponsors a junior team up there. I'm not only fortunate that my wife enjoys rugby league but my two sisters and my mum are fanatical. My eldest sister, Riley, she's been watching me since I was five years old and there's not many games that she has missed."

Apisai Koroisau (Panthers)

"Definitely my mum Alumita. She's always been there for me especially when I was growing up. As a little kid she always used to take me to footy games and take me to training and all these kind of things. I'd really love to pay her back so hopefully we can get the win this week."

Dominique Peyroux (Warriors)

"My fiance Grace – we have a two-year-old son together named Ma'quez – and then obviously my mum. She has always been with me helping me out; she has been my strength ever since I started. My grandmother who passed away five years ago has been a strength as well and without those women I wouldn't be where I am today."

Aidan Sezer (Titans)

"Definitely my mum Tanya. She was always there packing my bag right up until I left home a couple of years ago and used to make me my pre-game meals and things like that. When I had a few surgeries she was always there looking after me, waiting on me at the hospital which is what a mother does I guess but nothing goes unappreciated and can't thank her enough. She doesn't get to too many of my games these days but when she does come it always puts a spring in my step knowing she's there."
