Australia's Greg Inglis and Mal Meninga with PNG's Michael Marum and Bernard Goma at the Prime Minister's XIII media call.

The Australian Prime Minister's XIII arrived in Port Moresby on Thursday and were greeted at the airport by thousands of local rugby league fans.

An estimated 3,000 locals turned up to Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby to welcome the team – the largest crowd to have ever greet a PM’s XIII.

Mal Meninga and Greg Inglis attended a media call with the PNG Prime Minister's XIII coach Michael Marum and captain Bernard Goma, with all four in hot demand with the local media.

Both teams attended a VIP event on Thursday night, hosted by the Australian High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, Mr Bruce Davis, before continuing match preparations today.

The match will be played at the National Football Stadium on Saturday afternoon, kicking off at 4:30pm.
