Nick Cotric tries to get away from Mitch Moses.

Despite piling on eight tries against the Wests Tigers, Canberra's attention quickly turns to the Brisbane Broncos according to Ricky Stuart, with the Raiders facing a short five-day turnaround for their clash at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

‌The premiership-winning coach was pleased with the effort of his side, who managed to keep the Tigers to only a single try – albeit an intercept against the run of play – in the 46-6 demolition, but said it was only one half of football the Raiders have been able to put together and has challenged the side to show more consistency moving forward.

"Getting off zero [was the most pleasing part]… to get a win is always nice," Stuart said after the game.

"It was a team effort in that second 40 and defensively it was a huge team effort to only give up an intercept try the whole game.

"That second half of footy where we controlled possession the best over the last five halves of footy that we played previous to that, made it easier for us where we didn’t have to defend as much and put as much pressure on our defence.

"We wanted to get into the change rooms at half-time playing the better footy, the scoreboard was irrelevant to me and that was spoken about before the game.

"I thought defensively we were working hard together and did a good job.

"That was only one half of footy with one game though.

"We'll leave that alone, we've got such a short turnaround now - we play again Friday night - that was a tough physical game and I'm sure there are some bruised and battered bodies in there but no injuries.

"We'll probably only get to practice once this week and we'll see how we go then."

Stuart's men take on a Broncos outfit who have also only recorded the one win to start the year, despite going down in two golden point clashes the past fortnight to the Cowboys and Storm.

"We've got an awfully tough six weeks [in the opening rounds] and we knew that from the start," the Raiders coach said.

"We've got to show some consistency now because we've only been consistent in one half of footy out of six [so far this season].

"Little efforts make up the whole team performance and that’s what we are about – working for each other and the team.

"They weren’t there last week and I need them there consistently.

"We've got to be consistent and you get those types of results.

"We'll be challenged all seasons so we can just see how tough we are."

Meanwhile, Raiders skipper Jarrod Croker was pleased to get through the game in his return from a knee injury, and was happy to contribute to the side's big win with his own personal tally of 18 points.

"It was good to be back out there… I was a bit rusty and quiet in the first half but it was a stop start beginning from us early on there," he said.

"It was good to get through it and the knee felt 100 percent.

"It was just pleasing to get the win."
