Raiders workhorse Luke Bateman is in danger of missing Round 18 through suspension.

Young Raiders lock Luke Bateman will miss his side's Round 18 clash with the Cowboys at GIO Stadium after accepting an early guilty plea for his dangerous contact charge.

Bateman was cited for his challenge on Knights forward Daniel Saifiti, with a previous similar offence in the last two years not aiding his cause.

Canberra teammate Kurt Baptiste (grade one dangerous throw) also accepted an early guilty plea but will be free to face North Queensland, likewise Broncos prop Josh McGuire and Wests Tigers back-rower Josh Aloiai who both escaped suspension with an early guilty plea.

Manly have until midday on Wednesday to enter a plea for outside back Brayden Wiliame, who is facing at least a week on the sidelines for his shoulder charge on Josh Dugan.
