Canada Ravens centre Janai Haupapa faces a two-match suspension for a Grade B contrary conduct charge following the side's 88-0 loss to the Jillaroos on Wednesday.
Jillaroos back-rower Renae Kunst alleged Haupapa had bitten her on the arm in the 18th minute, with an official complaint made on the paddock.
The match review committee of John Coates, Steve Clark and Bruce Wallace reviewed the incident following the game and deemed there was enough evidence for a charge.
Haupapa has until 9am on Thursday morning to enter a plea.
If she opts to fight the charge but is found guilty, the panel will determine the length of suspension.
Ravens coach Mike Castle fronted the media following the game and defended the outside back.
"If anyone has met Janai, she's the liveliest and bubbliest human being I've ever met," Castle said.
"It's not in her nature at all."
Australian captain Ruan Sims refused to comment on the incident post-game.
"I've got no comment and will leave that to the match review committee," Sims said.
"I'm just really pleased with the way the girls went out there and really executed to the game plan.
"That's the most exciting part of about today's game."
