A powerful 24-4 win has sent the Rabbitohs through to the finals as the first team to win all three of their pool games, never looking in doubt against a young Storm side.
With a finals spot all-but assured already, the Rabbitohs continued their strong form early, forcing a goal line drop-out before a strong George Burgess charge allowed skipper Issac Luke to dart from dummy-half and push over the line.
But a stepping, weaving run from Cameron Munster got the Storm back within two late in the half, and did well to shut down a series of attacking South Sydney raids right until the very strong of half-time.
Impressive young Rabbitohs centre Aaron Gray showed incredible determination to crawl through a tackle despite the attention of several defenders, who were able to rip the ball away from him only for Chris McQueen to pounce on it for a 10-4 half time lead.
An early 40/20 from Adam Reynolds put Souths on the attack and a simple shift to the right put Joel Reddy over, and with the Storm struggling to get out of their end all half a left-side shift to youngster Angus Crichton, who produced one of the biggest fends of the weekend, stretched the lead to 18-4.
A soft try up the middle to Bryson Goodwin following some great movement out of dummy half from Cameron McInnes blew the score out to 24-4, sending the Rabbitohs into the finals unbeaten.
